Soooo.... I failed in doing a brave thing EVERYDAY, but I have managed to make an effort in doing a brave thing. It is so difficult to keep a resolution, especially with the hectic daily life and just plain forgot it.
2/2 & 2/16---I did managed to be part of a career workshop.... representing the healthcare- Nursing field... helping with resumes and representing nursing on a career panel. I had to sit on stage in front of 30-40 people and talk about the qualities needed for an interviewee and sell the nursing field to the audience.... AHHHH.... I HATE PUBLIC SPEAKING !!!..... I was so nervous that I missed some information I wanted to convey to the audience.....DANG IT !! But I got through it and I helped at least one person get a job....so job well done !!

365 days of Bravery: Day 1
Day 1: To start a blog.
So it is the start of 2013 and of course, new resolutions for the coming year. Of course, the usual are always there i.e. losing weight, have a makeover, financially stable, etc., all of which is on my list. I don't usually reflect upon the past year, but the 2012 year was one that was eventful and one that involved resolutions of issues that I have struggled with in the past. So, why don't I start self reflection at the beginning of the year rather than the middle of the year... to better myself and learning to be content with who I am.
So here it goes....
Step 1 is to state a goal and plan my journey
Step 2 is to start the first step
.....Here is my small step towards better myself. My goal is to do one thing that is new, or requires bravery or something out of my comfort zone, once a day. I pray that I am able to take this momentum and keep it going until the end of the year. Of course, it helps to make a plan/list to keep the momentum.
Here is a list of things/actions for the coming days:
1. Initiate a date first.
2. Learn to cook
3. Learn to dance
4. talk to a stranger
5. pray in public
6. go exercise by myself
7. explore the neighborhood by myself
FIGHTING !!
A new year and a new beginning to better ME !
I'll keep you posted !! Wish me luck !!
